AW-82 is a professional auto-wah effect plugin that shapes your tone dynamically based on how loud the input is. Instead of controlling a wah with a foot pedal, an envelope follower tracks the level of your signal and moves a bandpass filter for you. The result is the classic wah character on percussive and transient-rich material: guitar, bass, keys, or drums. The plugin is laid out in a simple 2x2 grid so you can dial in the sound quickly.
 
Sensitivity controls how much the envelope follower responds to input dynamics. Low values give a subtle wah that only moves on strong hits; high values make the filter sweep more obviously with every transient. Frequency sets the base cutoff of the bandpass filter (roughly 200 Hz to 2000 Hz). The envelope then modulates around this centre: lower frequency for deeper, bass-heavy wah; higher for bright, cutting tones. Resonance (Q) sets how peaked the filter is: low for a softer, more musical sweep; high for a sharp, pronounced wah. Mix blends dry and wet so you can run the effect in parallel or full wet.
 
The envelope follower uses a fast attack (about 1 ms) and a 100 ms release so it tracks transients clearly and decays in a musical way. The filter is a state-variable bandpass with a 12 dB/octave slope and a frequency range that extends with modulation. All parameters support DAW automation and MIDI CC.
